Joan Collins Does Glamour

When I was 8 years old, I wrote an 'About Me' essay. I lived in Blue Point, New York. I wanted to be a ballerina and my hero was Joan Collins. Even then I couldn't resist the outre glamour. Sequins before 10am was my kind of style protocol. Even still, I'm a firm adherent of the Collins 'you can never have too much fashion' theory. Hence the reason I'm waiting patiently for the mother of all makeover shows - Joan Collins Does Glamour - 9pm tonight on ITV1!

Grazia Style Hunter Awards

It's official. Dublin's got more style savvy than London! Ah well, not exactly but it makes a good headline, eh? But Dublin does have the most semi-finalists in Grazia Style Hunter Awards. Eight fashionistas from our fair city have been chosen to represent the capitol - including I Blog Fashion. Flattered - indeedy? What you didn't see was the slew of bags I had with me from styling that day. Hence the gloves - my hands were in tatters!! CLICK HERE to see more.

Fashion Me Fabulous

Creatives in the City

Celebrating its third birthday yesterday was Dublin's fashion hotbed - The Loft Market. In honour of its hatrick success as the city's style hybrid, over 20 of its up-and-coming designers, jewellers and vintage collections showed their wares at an elaborate Powerscourt fashion show. For a sneak peek from last night, check out a few of the 45 delish looks as styled by Dublin stylist Angela Scanlon. Love it? Much!

Sartorially-challenged

Dear Scott,

Forgive the hiatus; it's been a busy week. Between styling, TV and radio appearances and writing my weekly fashion column, I've been a total dowager on the social front. Missing fashion shows, press launches and now The Satorialist book signing. What can I say? It's just not acceptable. I'll do my best however to join you for a swift half at tomorrow's Harvey Nicks soiree. Champers with a friend? It's the least I can do.

Garance Doré Does Denim

Monday night Gap hosted a private viewing of Garance Doré's exclusive exhibition for the gap1969 denim concept store in London's Kingly Court. If you're in town, be sure to check out her iconic illustrations and street style snaps. Don't forget to nab one of her limited edition tees before they all sell out. And they will!

David Lachapelle Hits Dublin

Iconic fine art photographer and director David Lachapelle's 'American Jesus' exhibition hits Dublin this Saturday, September 19th. Feted by the fashion press for his striking celebrity imagery, this is not an event to be missed. So get down this weekend for some visceral visual stimuli. Admission is free. Jaw-dropping reactions? Priceless.

Last week a few of us met up with the lovely Hannah and Phil from Grazia's Style Hunter team who were combing Dublin's streets as part of their 'best dressed' search. Fashion Bloggers' Brunch - Pacino's

The Dublin's fashion bloggers were out in force again on Saturday for our monthly brunch. Pacino's, Suffolk Street provided the venue and a three-part boozy food fest with Clarins doling out some awesome autumnal goody bags. Joining us for the first time was Rag Tales' Nicky Harris and Julie Stafford from the ISPCC who provided us with Bling-a-Bib packs for their upcoming recruitment campaign. The convo varied from bad first dates to the Viking Splash Tour and early days as interns with the chow and drink providing the real centre of attention. First off were coffee and warm croissants followed by Eggs Benedict and Pancakes. Next was a Mojito-making sesh with Bacardi Ambassador and award-winning Mixologist Paul Lambert. I was rather proud of my final libation a marked improvement on my bartending days at the Old Parrs Head, London. Following afternoon tipples was lunch where I was positively apoplectic over the presence of coeliac-friendly pizzas and pastas. After four hours filling our faces, we all waddled home - good bags in tow to try out the Eyebrow kits, Blush/Powder compacts and funky mono shadows (love that silver/green!) with a side of Simon Cowell. Ah yes - the X Factor. Has to be done; if only for that cheeky grin of his!
