Make It Work!

It's baaaack! Project Runway Season 6 kicked off this evening on Sky 1 with my favourite personality on the planet - The Venerable Tim Gunn. In honour of the Liz Claibourne C.E.O. I've posted this Youtube remix of Tim's greatest catchphrases. Check it out. And remember...make it work!

Bling-a-Bib for the ISPCC

Last Saturday the fashion bloggers brunched with Julie Stafford from the ISPCC who recently launched the charity's Bling-a-Bib campaign. Basically, virgin bibs are being distributed to fashion folk to decorate for an upcoming recruitment drive. Armed with Bostick, rubber gloves and a box of bijou goodies, I got to styling and I must say - am super pleased with the result. So if you're shopping in Dublin come November and you see a volunteer sporting pearl-encrusted body armour, drop them some cash and pay them a nice compliment. After all, it's for a good cause. Oh, if you're wondering why there's no pic - ask my Blackberry Storm. Camera dead. Sigh.

Fashion Bloggers' Brunch - Pacino's

The Dublin's fashion bloggers were out in force again on Saturday for our monthly brunch. Pacino's, Suffolk Street provided the venue and a three-part boozy food fest with Clarins doling out some awesome autumnal goody bags. Joining us for the first time was Rag Tales' Nicky Harris and Julie Stafford from the ISPCC who provided us with Bling-a-Bib packs for their upcoming recruitment campaign. The convo varied from bad first dates to the Viking Splash Tour and early days as interns with the chow and drink providing the real centre of attention. First off were coffee and warm croissants followed by Eggs Benedict and Pancakes. Next was a Mojito-making sesh with Bacardi Ambassador and award-winning Mixologist Paul Lambert. I was rather proud of my final libation a marked improvement on my bartending days at the Old Parrs Head, London. Following afternoon tipples was lunch where I was positively apoplectic over the presence of coeliac-friendly pizzas and pastas. After four hours filling our faces, we all waddled home - good bags in tow to try out the Eyebrow kits, Blush/Powder compacts and funky mono shadows (love that silver/green!) with a side of Simon Cowell. Ah yes - the X Factor. Has to be done; if only for that cheeky grin of his!

Heathers - 'Very'

Long before we had girls of a Gossip or Mean persuasion, there were Heathers. These high school harridans made our current crop of celluloid bad girls look like villains on amateur night (drain cleaner anyone?). Now they're back in a remake of the film original ready to inspire fear, loathing and total fashion envy in their fellow alum. Just check out those bitchin' shoulders, white tights and fierce stares. On trend - very. Oh btw - love those croquet sticks.

Country Vintage

I've been off the radar for a while styling for a shoot. Country Vintage is the theme. As I'm too tired to write, I thought I'd share a similarly themed segment from God's gift to TV - Ab Fab. Sure, the fashion isn't exactly Kiera Knightly in Atonement (although Patsy's camel suit gets my vote!) but the 'wine tasting' scene says it all. Love it. Love it. Love it!
